Data controller

What we collect

From the contact form we collect your name, email address, the session you ask about, an optional preferred date, and the message you write. If you telephone, we collect the number you call from and whatever you choose to say. If you enrol, we also keep the confirmation, the fee received, and attendance for that session.

We do not ask for resident registration numbers, account numbers at your broker, or details of positions you hold. Please leave those out of the message.

Why we use it

We use this information to answer you, to hold or refuse a seat, to take payment by transfer, to know who is expected in the room, and to handle a cancellation or refund. We also keep a record long enough to respond if a question about that session arises later.

The legal basis is your request before a contract, the contract itself once a seat is confirmed, and our legitimate need to keep a short record of the exchange. Where the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea requires consent, we rely on the act of sending the form or agreeing a seat as that consent for the items listed above.

Retention

Enquiry messages that do not become a booking are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Booking records, including the fee and attendance, are kept for five years because tax and commercial records in Korea often require that span, and then deleted. Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser, not on our desk; clearing site data removes it.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Staff of Aware Helixway in Changwon read the messages. A bank sees the transfer you send, under its own terms. If we are required by a Korean court or authority to disclose information, we will disclose what the order requires.

International transfers

The desk that reads your message is in Changwon. Email can pass through mail servers outside the Republic of Korea on the way to that desk. If that happens, the content of the email is briefly handled in the country where the server sits. We do not use that path to build a separate overseas file on you. The static pages of this website may also be served from a host outside Korea; those pages do not contain your form contents.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection Act you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to suspend processing, subject to the records we must keep by law. Write to info@aware-helixway.click with the email address you used before. We will answer within the period Korean law requires. You may also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission if you believe a request was handled improperly.

Children

Sessions are for adults who already follow markets. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Cookies

The cookie note at /cookies/ describes the preference stored in this browser and the font request the pages make.

Changes

If this note changes, the date at the top will change. A material change to how bookings are stored will be mentioned in the next confirmation email sent after the change.
